We were lucky enough to have spent 6 weeks in Cuba, only staying in casas; most of them were great, but from every point of view, this was definitely the best!
Lester and Naty are very welcoming and interesting hosts. Naty was correct when she said Lester was a good cook- the lobster he prepared was succulent and full of flavour, the prawns likewise. For breakfast, he managed to produce the best omelette and the best scrambled eggs of our entire holiday.
Although busy, they always managed to find time for us, which is indicative of their excellent hospitality; they were excellent company, easy and interesting to talk to.
Their garden was an oasis, with orange, lime,mayaya, banana, avocado and mango trees, as well as humming birds
They are such a kind and thoughtful couple, generous with their time.
We wished we'd stayed longer- it was such a shame to leave
